Jerry Jones Should Pull a Page From Mark Cuban’s Playbook
The Dallas Mavericks will begin their second NBA Finals appearance on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Arena in Miami against the Heat. The Mavericks have never won an NBA Championship, losing to the Heat in their only other Finals appearance in 2006. During their previous trip to the big stage, Mavericks team owner Mark Cuban was very talkative in the national media. Cuban talked more trash than most fans and even planned the championship parade route after the Mavericks went up 2-0 in the best-of-seven- series before his team lost four straight to lose it. Photos of Tony Romo’s Wedding Released
On Saturday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo married Candice Crawford, former television anchor in Dallas and Ms. Missouri 2008. The ceremony took place at Arlington Hall at Lee Park, located on Turtle Creek Boulevard in uptown Dallas. Almost the entire Cowboys roster was in attendance, as well as Hall of Fame quarterbacks Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. New Orleans Saints head coach and former Cowboys offensive coordinator Sean Payton also saw his former draft pick tie the knot and even former Dallas head coach Wade Phillips made the trip from Houston to see the event. Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones says he got “special permission” and attended the wedding along with his family. You can see pictures of the guests here and pictures of the actual wedding ceremony here.
Dallas Cowboys’ Felix Jones, Tashard Choice Could be NFL’s Next Dynamic Duo
For the 2008 and 2009 NFL seasons, Miami Dolphin running backs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams ruled the ground game of the league. The two combined for over 3,300 yards and 33 touchdowns during those two seasons and led the only truly successful Wildcat offense in NFL history. Don’t plan on the Dallas Cowboys employing anything close to what the Dolphins did as far as the Wildcat formation. Still, Cowboys running backs Felix Jones and Tashard Choice could be the next big rushing duo in the NFL. (more…)
